Herts Ability at the Living Well Roadshow - Chiltern Neuro Centre, Wendover

July 4, 2025

We were delighted to attend the Living Well Roadshow this week at the Chiltern Neuro Centre in Wendover - a fantastic event dedicated to supporting people living with neurological conditions, along with their families and carers.

The roadshow provided a great opportunity to connect with many individuals seeking advice on maintaining their independence and continuing to drive safely following a diagnosis.

These conversations are always at the heart of what we do, and we were proud to be on hand offering support, information, and encouragement.

One of the highlights of our visit was our adapted demonstration vehicle, fully equipped with push/pull hand controls, a variety of steering aids, and other specialist driving adaptations. It drew lots of interest, with several attendees eager to try out the adaptations for themselves. Sitting behind the wheel allowed them to see just how empowering these modifications can be - and many expressed an interest in accessing our full driving assessment service.

We were also pleased to catch up with our industry colleagues from Better Mobility and Steering Developments Ltd, who brought along some of the latest in mobility and vehicle adaptation technology.

One standout innovation was the Abiloader - an automatic wheelchair loading system that enables users to independently access their vehicle and safely stow their wheelchair at the touch of a button. It was great to see so much interest in how these kinds of solutions can transform daily life.

As always, we are proud to showcase how Herts Ability supports individuals with a range of conditions to drive safely, live independently, and enjoy fulfilling lives.

A huge thank you to the team at the Chiltern Neuro Centre for their warm welcome, excellent organisation, and for looking after us so well - especially in the glorious sunshine!
