LGV & PCV Driving Assessments
Helping you get back on the road – safely and confidently.
We’re now offering LGV and PCV driving assessments (lorry and bus), delivered in partnership with MK Driver Training – experts in vocational driving and DVSA Approved Driving Instructors.
If you hold a driving licence for any of the following vehicle types, we can assess your ability to drive safely and legally.
Licence Categories Covered
- C1, C, C+E (LGV)
- D1, D (PCV)
- B (car) – this comes first if you're having a full assessment
How the Assessment Works
Start with a Car Assessment
You’ll begin with a standard car driving assessment with our team to assess the following:
- Must meet eyesight standards
- No cognitive concerns
- Reasonable physical ability
- No major driving faults
Then move to a Vocational Vehicle If appropriate. MK Driver Training will guide you through:
- A DVSA-endorsed reversing exercise
- A coupling/uncoupling task (if needed)
- A one-hour on-road assessment in an LGV or PCV vehicle
Bringing it Together
The vocational assessment results are combined with your car assessment to help us decide whether you're safe to continue driving larger vehicles.
