At Herts Ability, we love celebrating the unique stories of the individuals and families we support - and today, we’re sharing the experience of one of our most recent clients, Reg.
Reg visited our main driving centre in Welwyn Garden City following a referral from his memory nurse, after being diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment.
Having noticed some changes in his driving confidence, and with advice from his GP, Reg and his wife Pat sought a professional, honest opinion about whether continuing to drive was safe.
Although the final outcome of Reg’s assessment meant that he would no longer be able to drive, the journey was full of support, care, and understanding every step of the way.

Although the recommendation was for Reg not to drive in the future, we came away feeling reassured and comforted.
