Celebrating Teamwork and Innovation: Herts Ability's Staff Training Day at Better Mobility

The Herts Ability assessment team recently enjoyed an inspiring and educational day at Better Mobility for our quarterly staff training. It was more than just a training session - it was a brilliant opportunity to strengthen our knowledge, grow as a team, and reinforce the strong partnership we share with Better Mobility.

Better Mobility, based in Hemel Hempstead, has a rich history of providing expert advice and high-quality mobility solutions to individuals with diverse needs. Their ethos - supporting every person in finding the right equipment to live independently - is one that aligns closely with our mission at Herts Ability.

From driving assessments and tuition to specialist mobility support, our team is dedicated to helping people maintain their independence safely and confidently.

A Hands-On Learning Experience

During our visit, we explored a wide range of mobility equipment, including:

• Manual wheelchairs
• Manual wheelchairs with power add-ons
• Standard powered wheelchairs
• High-tech powered wheelchairs
• Off-road and outdoor-focused powered wheelchairs

Better Mobility’s team demonstrated how they assess posture and individual needs to recommend the most suitable equipment. We also learned about the many ways they support customers in accessing funding, including through grants and charities.

One of the highlights of the day was the opportunity for our staff to trial various wheelchairs first-hand - a vital experience that helps us better understand the functionality and user experience of the products our clients may use.

A Partnership That Puts People First

We’re proud of the ongoing collaboration between Herts Ability and Better Mobility. Their team frequently refers clients to us for driving assessments, and we’re just as happy to recommend them for mobility equipment advice and supply.
